Ballet Beauty

Hobo Bag - Juicy Couture
Cocktail dress - Lipsy
Shoes - Bloch
Head band - Diva

I love it. I don't even know why but I do :) This whole look, together is not something I'd wear if I wasn't a ballet dancer myself ( Or at least did Pilates ) but there's just something so feminine and graceful about it that had me drooling.

How I'd wear it - I would definitely wear the dress and along with the bag, more so in the day. Maybe even add the head band if I wanted to be a little more formal. I'd pair it with black ballet flats ( There's a breath taking pair from Dior ) Keep the make up neutral, nude's and slight pink. For accessories I'd also go light with a thin gold chain and a small pendant, throw in a charm bracelet ( Also gold )

For the night again I wouldn't use the shoes, I'd pick a pair of black pumps to go and use a small black clutch with it. I'd still keep the make up light but go a little heavier on the accessories. Pearls, I think would look beautiful with this outfit.

P.S - If you're a ballet dancer, this outfit is pure magic

Teen Vogue ♥

"I don't do fashion, I am fashion"
- Coco Chanel

So if I'm ever asked what my all time favorite magazine would be, I wouldn't think for even a second before I say with oh so much pride, Teen Vogue

I remember the first time I picked up a copy (The december/January issue with Joy Brayant) and I ran to my mom to ask if she's get it for me instead of my usual copy of ' Two of a Kind ' By Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen. She looked at me astonished and asked me what I knew about fashion and commented how at a mere age of 12 I wasn't even a teenager :P I begged and pleaded, not because I knew what was in the magazine and how my life would revolve around it a few years later or how it's like a style bible to a lot of the teenage world but because I thought the cover was 'pretty'. After a lot of begging and pleading it was bought for me and from there the journey begun :)

5 Beauty Must-Have's

"I base my fashion sense on what doesn't itch"
- Gilda Radner

I've ALWAYS been a sucker for any new beauty products that hit the market. All the attractive new ad campaigns and demo packs, they practically call to me for a trial. I just HAVE TO try them, I have to try all that I can get my hands on and after I've ventured to my hearts content I finally am satisfied with myself and can get a good nights sleep :)

So here's a list of 5 beauty essentials, each that I've used and gotten remarkable results out of and would highly recommend to you.

1. L'Oreal Paris 'Total Repair 5' for haircare

So I've just shifted out of New Delhi, India and the climate there in the summer and winter both, is very dry. Majority of the girls and boys oil their hair religiously and thats something I've never done. It just doesn't sit right for me. All that sticky, greasy oil and having to use shampoo like 10 times to get it out of my hair. Pff, its an absolute torture. So naturally since I wasn't one to go through all that hassle to take care of my hair it was very dry and damaged. Then I shifted out here I went to buy my shampoo's and conditioners and stuff and here this was, so I thought I'd give it a try and added it to my shopping list.

It has ceramide cement that controls 5 types of hair damage- Hair fall, dryness, roughness, dullness and split ends. FOUR of which I thought I had and I've used this product for about a month now and it has actually done wonders for my hair. Its so much softer and has more volume to it and the split end are actually GONE so thank you L'Oreal <3 My hair floats :D (No, I'm not retarded, the most simple way to tell if you have healthy hair or not is to submerge it in water. If it sinks its damaged hair and if it floats its healthy hair)

2. Blemish Balm cream

So I first read about blemish balm in a magazine and again decided I HAD TO try it. Its like a light liquid foundation but also naturally nourishes your skin as well. It also protects your skin against UV rays, supplies it with moisture, takes care of wrinkles and even whitens your skin. Its a lot easier to use than mineral or powder foundation as it matches any skin tone and doesn't leave your skin looking dry and flaky, it instead gives is a matte finish.

There's a whole load of companies making blemish balm creams and they are available in any drug store.   But some BB creams suit faces more.
For oily skin - Maybelline 8-in-1 correction BB cream
Heroine Make Essence in BB cream
For dry skin - The face shop flebeaute collagenic BB cream
Skinfood Agave Cactus BB cream
For sensitive skin - Pure beauty soothing BB cream
For dull, lacklusture skin - M.A.C Prep + Prime beauty balm
For enlarged pores - Bio multi-effect BB cream
Dream girls beblesh balm.

BB creams were originally prescribed by dermatologists to soothe the effect of laser skin treatment such as redness, the craze began when korean women started using BB cream to achieve a flawless, dewy look.

3. Furla's new Monsoon collectors item rubber bags

Okay so I know what  you're thinking, how is a BAG a beauty product ? Well it's not but I just had to put this here as it is a must-have.

We've always knows Furla to make outstanding bags with very edgy styles and this time around they've done no less :) This bag is indestructible. Made of molded rubber, its water-resistant, scratch-proof and easy to wipe down. The bag is available in the most attractive colors and has been made to be used in the monsoons, which is just around the corner. It specially comes in handy if you live in a place where it rains a lot, much like I do.

What better than to have a sassy designer bag that can keep all your belonging safe and dry, this monsoon :)

4. L'Oreal Paris Lash boosting serum

Since we were all little girls we've wanted nice thick lashes that we could simply bat and have everything under the sun. Sadly, as we grew up we didn't see our lashed getting much thicker when in fact they start thinning.
Not anymore.

Thanks to L'Oreal's new concentrated eyelash boosting serum you can get visibly fuller, thicker natural lashes with less lash fall-out while removing makeup. The formula conditions, replenishes and protects your eye lashes to nourish them from root to tip. You're meant to apply daily under your mascara and again and night to transform your lashes.

5. Soap n Sorbet

Everyone wants a good collection of soap and they are one of your secret fetishes ;) From honey dew to lemongrass, from rich chocolate to organic grapefruit. Soap n Sorbet have a variety of soaps that you will without a doubt drool over. Visit any of their shops or their online webside www.soapnsorbet.com and take your pick at a collection of soaps, bathing gels and salts and skin care products. And remember, stay squeaky clean.

Happy shopping guys <3
